Important info about booking, pricing, appointments, and aftercare.
How do flash and custom designs work?
All my flash designs are non repeatable (will only be tattooed once) unless stated otherwise. If you are interested in a design that has already been claimed I am happy to draw you up something similar.
I am very happy to work collaboratively with you on custom pieces! Please have a look at my previous work to get an idea of my style.
I do not tattoo other artists’ work, and my designs are not for sale to be tattooed by another artist. However, I would like to do more guest spots, so if you are based outside of London or the UK and would like to work together, please do send an enquiry and I can see what is possible!
Do you use handpoke or machine?
I began tattooing using a handpoke method in 2019, but I now use machine for the vast majority of my work. If you have a specific preference for a handpoked tattoo please let me know when you book and I will consider it on a case by case basis.
What are your rates?
Pricing of each tattoo session depends on size, placement, time taken and whether it is flash or custom. I will give you a quote for the session once I have received the relevant information included in my booking form.
As a general guideline:
- My minimum price is £100 (unless stated otherwise). If you’d like multiple tattoos in a session I’ll always offer a discounted price.
- My half day rate is £250 (up to 4 hours) and full day is £500 (up to 8 hours including breaks).
- I will ask for a £40-£80 deposit (amount dependent on the booking) to secure your appointment.
I aim to keep my prices accessible whilst still valuing my time, energy, labour, and experience.
If you are working with a budget please let me know - I am very happy to discuss this, and will do what I can to accomodate.
Why are tattoos expensive?
There are many factors that contribute to the cost of tattoos, many of which the client may not see during the session itself. Among these include: all the time spent to draw the design, tattoo equipment and supplies, business costs and overheads, maintaining the studio and cleanliness for your comfortability, as well as studio rent.
Additionally, when you pay for a tattoo you are not only paying for the time and labour to create your piece, but also the expertise which has been developed over years of experience and practice. A well made tattoo is an investment that will last for life.
How should I prepare for an appointment?
It is best to come to your tattoo appointment well rested, fed, and hydrated. I recommend bringing a bottle of water, and if you are coming for a longer session or day session please come prepared with snacks/food and entertainment such as a book or headphones if you wish.
Try to wear clothing that allows comfortable access to the part of your body you are getting tattooed. For example, baggy/flowy trousers and skirts allow access to legs. For the torso, chest, back, and stomach, shirts that open all the way down are good as they can be worn in multiple ways.
Please include any additional needs for your appointment in the booking form. I always do my best to accomodate these. My aim is to create a safe, comfortable, and relaxing environment during your tattoo session!
Aftercare?
Aftercare advice will vary from artist to artist depending on the tattoo. The healing process and time will differ for each individual. Here are some guidelines on how to take care of tattoos I have done.
On the day:
Plastic wrap:
Remove after 3-6 hours or when you are home. Remove with clean hands under lukewarm water and wash with antibacterial soap.
Second skin:
Remove after 24 hours to 3 days. Remove in the shower by peeling away from the skin, and wash with antibacterial soap.
In the following days:
- Avoid contact with external surfaces as much as possible in the first few days of healing.
- Avoid direct sunlight, swimming, intense sweating, and prolonged exposure to moisture (eg. baths).
- Avoid touching/scratching the tattoo unneccessarily (especially with unwashed hands).
Moisturising:
- A few days after removing the wrap, once the tattoo begins to look dry and flaky, you can start to moisturise. I recommend a natural moisturiser such as cocoa butter, but if you have an unscented moisturiser that you know works well for your skin that should be fine.
Long term aftercare:
To maintain the appearance of your tattoo for life, remember to always apply SPF to your tattoos and avoid unprotected sun exposure for long periods of time. In general, anything that poses a risk of skin damage can also affect the appearance of your tattoos.
Are you open to working on commissions/collaborations?
